My Epilogue

hello canoeists,
this is my last time posting as secretary of canoeing already..J1s next time you see a post on the new blog(if there is), it'll be by your new secretary.
soooo elections for the new executive committee of canoeing will be this friday(20/07)so make sure yall don't plan some class outing or whatever!
i emphasise again; Annual General Meeting is compulsory for everyone- there is no excuse. JC1s if you fail to turn up, it is assumed that you quit canoeing.

JC2s:
Please prepare your speech; your experience in canoeing and advise to everybody. it could be a bunch of lame jokes (like Tzi Qin, remember?) or emo one..whatever you wanna say and have kept in your heart for the past 1.5years!

JC1s:
please seriously think about who you want your future exco members to be, or if you're interested, to be interviewed/nominated (we haven't decided yet) for election. choose someone that will lead all of you, and treat all of you the same way regardless if you're his/her good friend etc. choose someone who can inspire all of you to train hard no matter how tough and how much you feel like giving up throughout your entire journey in canoeing. someone who will commit to this cca no matter what happens, and will always be first and foremost NUMBER ONE in his/her entire time in canoeing.

hey canoeists,
tomorrow is the day! all of you must be having competition jitters now, but i've got a few things to remind yall.

1) BRING 5 BUCKS TOMORROW for transport. even if you're not taking the bus, still must pay.

2) WHITE jersey tomorrow; BLUE jersey wednesday; CJC LIGHT BLUE thursday.

i've got nothing much to say, but just try your best, and that's the only thing the team expects from all of you. stay focussed; stay calm throughout and everything will be alright. sleep early and have a good breakfast!

645AM at the FOYER tomorrow, please do not be late or the bus will leave.

LAST TRAINING AT MACRITCHIE

hey canoeists,
it's our last training at MCR tomorrow! at this point, i think we should all just believe in ourselves and do the best we can ;)

1) anyway i need to get the names of the competitors who are going to school on tuesday and thursday morning to take the bus to Bedok. please inform me tomorrow, thanks!

2) PLEASE remember to bring your rags tomorrow; if there are no rags you can use your jersey to wax your boats uh.

3) wear your competition jersey on the finals day- thursday. i'm not sure about heats, will inform yall again

4) those who are meeting at bedok on saturday morning ( which is majority of you), be at bedok reservoir by 830am. the 8 of you who are going to macritchie; 7am

one more week, three more trainings

hey canoeists,
you know there's very little time left already; so let's just put in our very best in every training, and treasure the time we have left together!

just to reconfirm, those who are going to macritchie on saturday are:

for the rest of you, who need them to take note of some stuff eg. a specific paddle from SJI to be packed together in the truck, please inform one of them the day before, and mark it down with your name.

i'll be bringing the car wax and wash on friday, as well as the tape to mark your paddles. those who are sharing paddles with people i.e. 2 or more to one paddle, please write down your names and events on the tape.

Almost The End

hey canoeists,
we're nearing the end of our journey together, as a team. let's just never give up and always believe in ourselves that we can do it okay! there is no such thing as the limit for us ;)
1)anyway here's the training schedule for the rest of the trainings till nationals.

2)on saturday (07/07) we turn up at bedok reservoir to wait for the boats to be transported from macritchie.
friday (06/07) for those who are competing please bring your own rags to wax the boats you're gonna use- im gonna buy the wax. i will also bring markers and stickers so that you can paste the sticker on your paddles to indicate your name, school and race for easy identification at bedok.

3) i need 8 volunteers (JC2s) to meet at macritchie on saturday to be incharge of all boats and equipment. yall will follow the truck with your boats; which will be transported to bedok. so we'll meet 8 of you there. please give me your names by saturday (30/06)
